Yesterday, returning UA 88 KOA-LAX, there were 30 of us on a 757 (182 seats), so about 16%. I was shocked. 5 of us in F and 25 in Y. We ended up pushing back 20 minutes early, but still got into LAX at 10:40 and then had to sit on a taxiway for 30 minutes because our gate was occupied

I was actually a little disappointed at the light load, because husband and I spent 60K miles for my free F ticket and 30K to upgrade his coach ticket nearly a year ago thinking loads would be heavy. We could have spent $371 x 2 for both of our tickets, upgraded both on the way out (another pretty light load), and each had an entire row of coach to ourselves on the return. So for an extra $371, we could have saved 60K miles and earned mileage for my ticket. Oh well.
