The PTV's may be cheaper (you got numbers?), not many people find something interesting to watch on Bell Express Vu at 23:11 or at 6:41... Therefor, Air Canada's system (once its installed) will be better.

I seem to remember a while ago, Air Canada TS had to fire a few mechanics because the A32X did not require as much maintenance than expected. (maybe someone would have a link!?!?). However, the new E180s are underperforming...

D Check - This is the heaviest check for the airplane. This check occurs approximately every 4-5 years. This is the check that, more or less, takes the entire airplane apart for inspection. This requires even more space and time than all other checks, and must be performed at a maintenance base.(

Compulsery checks. A new plane dosen't take less time to dismantle.

Westjet's costs are rizing faster than Air Canada' according to that latest Air Canada presentation. (couldnt give the page, link dosen't seem to work anymore).
Westjet is based in the rich environment of Calgary. Buisness is good, thank oil. By the way, has westjet got a loan?
