This is really annoying. We have several mileage runs already paid for. Too late to back out now. This is nuts. I know AA is trying to keep (steal) customers but if all the airlines follow, it just dilutes the status and makes people who put in the bucks and time to qualify really angry. And AA, the originator, is no better off in terms of getting people flying on their airline than had they just waited it out.
