The standard to China is 50. However, even on an upgraded ticket, you should have been allowed the additional weight of 70 which is given to F/C customers. I have asked the same question. I am not sure who to call -- did they give you a super-secret, double-encrypted UGS phone number (I am not UGS so i don't know)? Maybe try them first.
The duffle bag idea is a must !!!!!
PS: I actually asked a live person this today ..... and this was the answer i got
