I think its a bit early to get a good deal, but keep an eye on
NW, DL and EK. (EK could ticket you a domestic segment on a
local airline)

Leaving on Wednesday, thursday and Sunday and return (leaving BOM)
on a monday or tuesday would give you a better deal.

you may also want to look into AA from ORD-DEL and CO from EWR-DEL.
and a local connection from DEL.
(since both of these flights reach DEL late in the evening, connection
might be tight or impossible for the same day)

Also keep an eye on Cathay, Singapore and Korean from the west coast.
