Coming home from JFK 3 weeks ago, the crew had to reboot the AVOD several times. Not a high visibility event, so QF probably doesn't care... but last night on TV, the Australian 9 network hosted a World Cup special from Germany. QF is the Socceroo prime sponsor, and probably helped 9 with seats etc.

Celebrity panel member Sam Newman cracked jokes about how it took the most of the flight to watch one movie, due to never ending problems with the AVOD. Not a good advertisement! I suspect sponsor QF 'were not amused'...... but then again, if they got a workable system, no need for jokes at their expense!
