I think it can be really bad for Air NZ. When Air NZ flies to PVG, I'm sure NZ will have some code share flights with other Star Alliance airlines to the EU and other Asian airports, such as SK, LH, UA, CA and so on, so I'm sure there will be some European people fly to Auckland via Shanghai, so if you have the whole crew as Chinese it won’t be fair for those people. Also Air New Zealand is a New Zealand Airline, when Chinese people fly with it, they might want the crew to give them a warm welcome from New Zealand, and this warm welcome should not be given by Chinese people.( I think they should use Maori crews). If the whole cabin crews are Chinese, then this airline should be called Air New Zealand’s Chinese airline or Air China.

Secondly, if NZ is going to do this it might be some reasons in it otherwise it won’t happen. Everyone knows that oil price has gone up heaps and air travel is getting more expensive, in order to cut the cost, NZ uses Chinese crew, and I think NZ pays Kiwi and English crews more than the Chinese based crews. As NZ is going to use 100% Chinese crew for PVG, which is not illegal at all in New Zealand, because NZ doesn’t heir Chinese crews in New Zealand, it just like NZ uses English crews for LAX-LHR.

Finally, whatever NZ is going to do, I think NZ should use a bit NZ crews to balance this, and this will be a bit “fair” for NZ crews.
