If you are a HH, Starwood, Marriot, etc. member who has your room paid for by your company, you actually LOSE out on points by comping the room. Points are based on per dollar paid and the comp room will not help you. So you don't save money and you get no points.

Instead of comping, tell the manager your situation and instead ask for bonus points, while keeping everything else the same on your bill (no reduced rate, comp, etc).
