(2) that one be able to set both minimum and maximum fares. This would allow you to fine tune your searches. You can creatively use the maximum fares to eliminate some clutter, but you could force more cities by elimating both low and high priced cities.
(3) that your be force a few cities to show up. For instance, BWI almost never shows up on a Dream Map centered on Houston, yet it often has good fares. Less popular destinations (such as Jackson from Houston) rarely show up, and you could force them to do so.
(4) that when you click on a city on the map and a list of fares comes up, the list comes up, the list contain more information -- advance purchase, minimum stay, season, and days of travel.
My own personal pet peeves:
- No Mexico.

Travelocity may be surprised to learn that Cancun, for one, is a fairly popular destination. And Cozumel for divers. Also Cabo, Acapulco, etc.
- The dreaded "no airline operates flights on that route on that day" message. Yeah, but the one offering the fare certainly does in conjunction with one of its partners, geniuses. I half expect to attempt to pull up a LAX-JFK fare one day and get that message.
But no need for sour grapes. Travelocity Dream Maps for all its flaws, is still a brilliant tool, now made even more useful with
choster's tips.
