Just Curious?
Was looking for the status of my sister flight on Nwa.com to see have her flight landed so I can give her a call. So after I was done with that, I went through the flight status system to see if any other flights that were delayed due to the weather in MEM. Well when I search the AMS-MEM, flight 57, will not make it to MEM tonight. It shows it had an aircraft change due to maintenance and left AMS at 6:59 PM (almost 5 hours late), then it divert to BOS where the crew timed out. As it looks now, that flight will not leave untill tomorrow morning at 10. The return flight to MEM will not leave to MEM until tomorrow. The scheduled still shows AMS to MEM will run tomorrow on time. Where is NW getting the planes from? One is broken down, unless they can get ir up by tomorrow. The plane that is currently in BOS will not run again until tomorrow. So where is NW getting the 3rd plane? If NW knew the crew was going to timed out, why didn't NW send a crew to BOS to fly the plane to MEM or better yet cancel the flight and rebook the passengers on other flights. Now they are stuck in BOS, some might was able to reconnect thru DTW (but that was pushing it, since they have to had clear custom). I can't wait for the DC-10 to retire.
