You may well be right. If I were running go!, I wouldn't be concerned so much with people telling other people how great go! is, but rather that they tell other people that go! is an acceptable option to be considered. That way, if fares go up to $39 or $43, people will consider go! along with HA and AQ.
The other thing that will be interesting to see here is how much demand is increased by the $19 fares (short run) and the $39 fares (long run). I remember when it was fairly common for locals to make a "day trip" to another island, to see friends or go shopping. It also seems to me that it used to be much more common for locals to take a vacation on neighbor islands. In recent years, it has been about the same cost to vacation in California or Las Vegas as it has been to vacation in Maui or the Big Island (total cost, not just airfare). Lower costs could increase the popularity of weekend getaways.
