So basically as far as NW goes one cannot use NW to fly to BOM, since most of the flights from US to AMS are operated via KLM. I know I can go AMS to BOM looking for "I" inventory since its a NW operated flight.

I know I have DL as an option to India, but just to understand this more clearly, I have to use a NW operated flight from "I" inventory to fly from US to AMS !

Now thats kind of impossible since most of the flights are KL operated flights and how does one go about that if you cant use skymiles on NW operated flights by KL.
