Hi Charles, sympathise on the food poisoning part. Hope your wife is alright now.
Also agreed, Zainal was one of the more unapproachable and 'slack' one... Zainal should have at least suggested the Hospital next door or something. My understanding is that you're angry becos Zainal's attitude was a bit cold. You tone may be loud (i guessed), but anyone with a right frame of mind could tell that you're more anxious than trying to be rude. No matter how urgent it is, i'd check my tone to get things done.

I always look for Mr Shivan to get things done. IMHO, incompetency has not much to do with Hyatt, but everything to do with the native workforce.
I would think Hyatt JB is not that bad. I've been to most hotel/resorts in JB, but still returns to Hyatt. So much so that they used to greet me from far and direct me straight to the club lounge for check-in, yes, no front-desk for me.

But after the GP rules changed, it was a 180degree change, told to queue, no smiles, no club upgrade anymore...
Sorry Mario, can't agree with you on the Kiasuness (meaning: afraid to lose) part.

It's the general feeling of malaysian on Singapore, i know. But people from the service line should love all, serve all. Went to a GHM resort in malaysia recently, encountered service refusal all round. Spoke to one of a Director, and the first sentence from the lady was, "OK, may i asked are you a Singaporean or Malaysian?"

What the freaking difference does it make?!
With much being said, Charles, try to expect less when visiting a hotel/resort in malaysia, nationality aside. Afterall you're on holiday, lower your expection please.

Heard JB hospital is pretty good in fact.
