From what i've seen - pretty much anything will work:
Find a fare that you like. Read the rules and determine possible routing. Pack in the PHL/PIT/LGA/DCA segs in and rack up four per side. Get 8 per RT and you'll be happy...but watch out for the Shuttle segments...I had a four-seg trip last Friday from BWI, up to LGA and down to DCA and they made me clear security to print a BP from the kiosk, then back in security. All this within 35 minutes as a layover and NO checked bag - this was part of a weekend trip. I made it just fine, but stressed about it a bit, plus threw some spears toward US in one way...because I thought it was ridiculous that I couldn't get all my BPs at once.
