This is strange...I rented a car at an off-airport location in Boston. I was using my weekend certificate and reserved a full size. Since I was helping a college move-out, I asked if I can get upgraded to an SUV (I am Perferred Select).

They were very accommodating and I appreciate that. They wanted me to charge me $10 for 2 days for the upgrade - fine with me. They went to the garage and got the car ready.

The strange thing was that there was a Budget contract in the car from a rental a few days prior. It matched my car's license plate. I did not pay attention to the key chain.

I guess that location happened to have some agreement with Budget?
