buying a quad band phone (nokia) in paris-is it worth it?

i'm going to be in paris june 29-july5 and was wondering if it's worth my while to by a quad band phone while i'm there as the phones i'm looking at are not out in the us yet.

i'm a big fan of nokias and it's time to u/g my 6200 (triband gsm) and i'm looking at the 6131 and the 6125 (i'd like a flip phone so that's why i'm looking at them) so here are my questions.

1-even with the usd/eu exchange rate being not so good, is it worth it to by overseas?
2-if yes, any thoughts as to where to buy in paris (fnack?, orange store?)
3-do they sell phones unlocked as i use cingular here in sf (no problem if not as i'll get it unlocked when i return)
4-costs-anyone have a rough idea
5-taxes on the purchase? will that make a big difference on the price and if so, can i get a "tax refund" when i depart cdg?
6-i arrive at 7:30 am cdg and i have a 10:30 arrival at lhr on my way home and don't depart until 2:15 so on the oft chance-any secret places to buy at cdg/lhr? (probably not but just a thought)
7-did i miss anything?

thanks as always
