If your referring to DXB (Dubai) then I can give you some tips. While you're there, check out the Gold Souk which you can take a cab to from pretty much the whole city for relatively cheap. As well, you may want to check out the exorbitant amounts of retail Dubai has to offer. For instance, you may want to go the Wafi City Mall. In addition, if dining is your thing, have a meal at the Burj al Arab or even afternoon tea. Better yet, if your budget accomodates it, stay at the Burj al Arab but be prepared for $1000+ / night as it is what I paid when I was there a few months ago.
