Just been reading through the 2005/6 Annual Report which appeared at the beginning of June. There's been a lot of speculation in these parts over the years about the total number of BA Miles (and AirMiles) in circulation. Well, for the first time (Caveat: as far as I can see from looking at old reports), BA has published the total number of miles outstanding in the annual report - and the answer is.....

127,638,125,986 (as at 31st March 2006 - EOFY)



It'll be interesting to look at this number over the coming financial reporting periods - will be useful to see whether the overall number is up or down...

For those interested in AirMiles, apparently there were 7,666,093,423 AirMiles outstanding at 31st March.
