Nice to see that GH Beijing gets to make their own rules up and ignore the GP rules/policy.

So I guess this means that the
offical GH Beijing policy is to upgrade Diamonds from regular (called "Grand") rooms to bigger (called "Grand Deluxe") rooms, not to Club rooms? The Grand Deluxe rooms are ~10% cheaper than Club rooms BTW and ~30% more expensive than regular "Grand" rooms.
Question for Karen/Gold Passport Concierge: When you read all these complaints about this hotel not following GP upgrade rules, do you pass them up the chain and does Gold Passport ever attempt to sanction hotels for not following GP policy/rules?
To answer the OP's question------oh wait, I already answered it in the SPG Forum"---------stick with the Great Wall Sheraton! Ever since the Int'l RC Upgrade Policy changed, I shifted all my Beijing stays to the St. Regis and Sheraton Great Wall, and I have nothing bad to say about either of those hotels................although as mentioned above you really can't beat the GH Beijing location.
