For me, AC can be summarised with a trip I had a year or two ago. I was flying PVG-YVR-YEG-YOW-YYZ-LHR in J with stops all along the way. PVG-YVR was the single worst flight I have ever had. I was sitting in seat 1A, and despite that, I was skipped over at breakfast. When I asked about this, the lead FA told me to go to hell and eat breakfast when we landed at YVR.
That's complete BS.......no FA would use words like "go to hell" but the lack of BF service seems to tie in with the long periods of tubulence.
Only option was to repack, so I pulled something out and packed it in my carry-on, at which point the gate agent asked to weigh the carry-on and told me it was now overweight and would have to be repacked. It all seemed like a bizarre, ridiculous practical joke. I ended up having to purchase an extra bag, and the agent made a huge show for the sake of other passengers in line of berating me for having overweight luggage.
That is an absolutely ludicrous and unbelivable story and something unheard of here even with the numbers of whiners who do show up here
Eventually she claimed that only Aeroplan SE were allowed in, and that J-tickets had no right to enter the MLL anywhere and that all my life I had been illegally sneaking into lounges.
Again, unbelievable and most probably untrue.
As a final note: I know Jeffrey personally, and I think one or two posters on this thread have gone a little far with their comments and assessments regarding his character. Just because you do not agree with what he wrote, does not give you the right to attack the man.
You may know him personally but some people simply get crazy at airports. I have always been an admirer of his columns but the stories I heard about him at YYZ by trusted AC people certainly changes my opinion. He acts like he owns the G&M at times.
I have emailed him and suggested that he challenge what I heard which would have made his column more believable......with no repsonse.
