Road ID - dis/advantages to having your passport number on an ID tag
I came across these ID tags, Road ID . I do a good bit of hiking, skiing, etc. and I thought I would get one for those times when I don't carry my wallet.

It came to my attention that it might be a good idea to put my passport number on this ID in case the worst happens while overseas and for some reason my passport is not on my person. Are there disadvantages for having my passport number on an ID tag?
