I don't understand...if you avoid the 738 due to the 38" pitch, what other a/c are you flying instead?
MD88: 37" pitch
B732: 36-37"
B757: 37-38"
B763 (domestic): 40"
B764: 39"
I've excluded the international configs but for domestic travel, the 738 in F is probably one of the best since the seats are larger. I agree, however, that I prefer widebodies on longer flights, but for the short hops, the 738 is great.
