Since a contract was imposed under the railway labor act, they are striking against that agreement. Per the RLA, they are on strike indefinately now.
And what's the point... all union membership is out, all replacement workers are in, what do the strikers hope to succeed at getting now?
Every now and then one of the mechanics will get a soundbite in the paper. One afew weeks ago said they had to keep picketing to get "the good deal" from NW. I don't understand that. There is no deal to be had, just a new imposed contract.
