Ron - I had a reward flight from San Antonio to Hawaii earlier this year. got to the airport in SA very very early and the Agent at the counter spontaneously offered me an earlier routing. She checked my luggage all the way through ( I had to change plance twice) and I arrived, luggage in hand for my vacation!
