Cigala on Lambs Conduit Street is pretty good (more Spanish than mediterrranean and they have a tapas menu). The Chancery on Cursitor is closer to the Chancery Lane tube, probably a 10-minute walk from where you are, and it's quite good. A bit further east (but an easy bus ride away) are the Bleeding Heart restaurants, which I think are outstanding.
