Nope. They have several government rates, $129 to $249. And, oh yeah, $60 and choose the room on checkin. Guess which rate I go for.
As a Gold (and now a Diamond), I usually get upgraded to a Jr. Suite, so all is well.

The reality is I spend as many nights as I have to in the HGI, here's a Fairfield Inn available, and several Choice properties. It turns out, all of them are available to me at $60/night. Straight points (i.e., no promos running) isn't enough to make me spend the extra twenty bucks and gas. Motel 6 is my place to go to when I have no other place to go to.
And, I can pocket anywhere from $50 to $100 a week in the price difference.
