Lexington is serviced by Delta/Delta Connection, United Express, Northwest Airlink, American Eagle, US Airways Express, Continental Express. Delta flies some 737's in from Atlanta and Northwest periodically flies DC-9's to Detroit during the summer. Most everything else is RJ's - approx. 45 daily departures. The airport itself is quite convenient, and in the process of a major expansion/renovation.

DL connecting thru CVG is your best bet. Or you could just drive the 100 miles to Cincinnati.
The airport expansion will double the number of gates, scheduled to be finished next year. CVG is closer to 70 miles, since the CVG airport is actually in Kentucky. Additionally, many CVG fliers prefer to fly out of LEX to avoid the CVG hassle.
