Thanks for all of the advice. If the agent had hung up, I definitely would have called back. Actually, if she had been polite and explained the reason why the seats were not open for assignment, I would have been fine with that. I was not trying to break the rules or anything.
I just think it's unacceptable to treat customers like that, and I felt like I needed to tattletale.
Anyway, I guess everything worked out, but I'm still disappointed it happened.
