Engle & Bagley in Middleburg Heights? There's a doughnut place in the parking lot and a Damon's (or some other rib place, but I think it's a Damon's) next door.

The Courtyard across the street is much nicer.
I was in a van so I wasn't paying attention, but there was a Dunkin Donuts on the corner and a Friendly's across the street. Also an Olive Garden across from Friendly's.

I had never heard of a shmata, but it sure sounds yiddish. And, yes, on my way to the airport in the morning, I found a sign - about a block away from the building but facing the "main" road - covered in a shmata.

Same thing seems to be happening to local Best Westerns here. Several have had the Best painted over to stay "legal" until they settle on an affiliation.

Worst moment of the night at the "Plaza" - Got up to use the bathroom and discovered the tolet leaks all over the floor, getting my socks wet. Took off my socks and discovered with my bare feet that the carpet stains were crunchy. I'm sure the Red Roof and Ramada across the street were better. Delta shall hear of this!
