You'd lose that bet. Grew up in the area, and more recently, worked in ROMULUS and lived in DEARBORN. Trust me when I tell you that while there are redeeming qualities (esp DTW, Ann Arbor, Zingermans, and right there in Romulus, Leonardo's), the area has issues. Crime, Grime, traffic, bad roads, bad weather, bad government, Kwami, you name it....

My point is that in spite of all of Detroit's problems, DTW is spectacular. I connect there whenever I can, and given a choice of any hub, DTW is right up there at the top.

DTW is an oasis. Detroit the city is to be avoided, and as a whole, less than the sum of it's parts.
