IIRC, the boxes are under seats C, D and H. Not sure about G.
I would've said the best method for securing an empty row was to choose SQ319.
It's the flight that connects least conveniently to flights to Oz and NZ.
Other than that, select an aisle seat from the middle 4 in the economy cabin closest to Raffles. In my last few flights, that tended to be less crowded than the back cabins, and the only one where I got to enjoy an empty row.
