We stayed there in April and we actually had three different rooms before we found one to our liking.

We stayed the first night in a recently refurbished premier strip room. Despite the refurbishment it is still fairly bland but top comfort. However, we found this room too small with surprisingly little storage space, and we asked for a suite.

The staff did their utmost to fulfill our request (hotel was full) and gave us a one-bedroom suite. This suite was very spacious but had not been refurbished and it looked like my grandmother's house. We were completely surprised to learn that the "old" rooms were decorated in 1996 because they look 30 years old.

We immediately complained and got an executive suite instead. The layout was very similar to the one-bedroom suite, just slightly smaller. This suite had been refurbished and we liked this one much better. Space and comfort but still rather dull.

However, we are still VERY pleased with our stay at FS Las Vegas. The pool service, the staff, the non-existing casino and the peace make this hotel the best place to stay in Vegas. We visited the Mandalay Bay pool once but only stayed for 20 minutes before running back to the FS, as it was totally crowded, noisy and tacky.

I highly recommend staying at FS but make sure to get a refurbished room. To my best knowledge all standard rooms have been refurbished while some suites are still in line for a makeover.
