Robert:

I have tried to avoid the DLX MCO-BOS run. First no priority boarding. More importantly, the inability to switch to mainline flight if finished early or late. Now, on my rare trips to BOS, I schedule thru ATL and switch to the nonstop if it will work better.

That said, I have found that gate agents, if they know you, will allow early boarding. At least early enough to find overhead space. This has also been allowed by total strangers (IAD) looking at my boarding card. Also, I have had FAs come to those of us in emergency exit rows and acknowledge the PMs and GMs by name. Its at least something.

The problem, reported to me by an agent in MCO, is that there is no longer going to be any mainline flights MCO to New York. They are losing the weekly LGA business travellers who don't want to fly Song. These are a small number compared to the total DL New York MCO traffic so it looks that they are being the sacrificial lambs. From your report, I don't think I will mind Song for my trip to JFK this fall. Contrary to an earlier report, they are interlining baggage (at least to skyteam) so my one worry is alleviated.
