Delta was experiencing irregular operations tonight in CLE. The RJ before mine was cancelled due to a tire problem. It was already oversold. My flight was the last one out and also oversold. I volunteered as I needed 1 more voucher to fund a trip later this summer for Mrs BamaVol and the youngest to visit her family and getting home tomorrow at noon is actually preferable to midnight tonight.

In addition, I got a $7 breakfast voucher and a hotel voucher for the Quality Inn Airport. I got my bags and dialed 22 for a shuttle. The girl answered "Plaza Hotel". I thought I had dialed wrong and asked if it was the Quality Inn. New name, she said. Wait at door 2 for an unmarked white van. I get to the hotel, and there's nothing over the door, no signage in the lobby and a piece of paper on the phone with "Plaza Hotel" handwritten on it. I registered on a blank piece of scrap paper.

I've stayed in worse places. I'm pretty sure the stains on the carpet in my room aren't blood. My question: has anyone else ever stayed at Hotel Anonymous?
