I was on an America West Airbus and heard the message"Ladies and Gentlemen please fasted your seatbelt" it was in a French Accent". How can the flight attendant activate these automated messages? Is there a code you push on the IFE system like on the 777 you would go into announcement menu and select automated announcements boarding and then Fasten Seatbelt? Is it a WAV or MP3 file that plays when you select the message.

How could the Airbus 319/320 have such messages since the IFE system is not as sophisticated as the 777? Does the Pilot do something or is it the Flight Attendant? Would love to know more of the automated messages you have heard on the Airbus?

It would be nice to hear more of them used on the Airbus 319/320 with the French accent even some in French. Any ideas?
