Spoke to my favorite AA RTW person just now. She said she had already made the request for my record and it was rejected. She mentioned that although they (inventory management) used to clear as long as there were a couple of seats open, they no longer release
A or
D inventory for RTW itineraries anymore, even with wide open flights. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope that the waitlists clear.
Sounds kinda silly, especially on my LHR-LAX segment where BA has lots of availability on the day I want (on all 3 flights) and AA has none, and the AA cabins are fairly empty.
