One thing I have done, in addition to leaving detailed itineraries, is get a GSM cell phone, so that I can call anywhere in the world. I was flying home on 9/11, and another passenger kindly loaned me his phone so that I could call my family.

I also have MedJet. A friend had a stroke in Turkey, and after that wake up call, I signed up with Med Jet.

This is another reason I like to go to the F.T. Dos. They are a compatible group of people, and I can still do things independently if I want.
