My record is 1,000,000 Kwachas in Zambia last year = about $200. The largest bill was a K20,000. The pile of cash seemed about 6" thick...

As an aside, their bills are made from a type of plastic in Canada. The reason is most transactions are cash as most of the folks do not have a bank account.
