I think there may be a "per transaction" limit at each ATM now. So, if let's say your daily wd limit at the ATM you're using is 500 and you need 1k, then you can do two transactions to get the 1k. Generally though, most people's limits do not hit the ATM transactional limit.
But, it's been a while since I worked at a bank, so my knowledge is probably out-of-date by now.
