Yup, we moved into travel (flights and hotels) back toward the end of 2004. I joined last summer and we exited beta last November. We have some pretty cool enhancements coming in the next month, so stay tuned.
As for your question, it's pretty rare domestically when the airline site is more than an online travel agent, but it happens. If you find the lower fare on another site and you are happy with it, then go ahead and book it while you can. There are some differences that you need to value for yourself. For example, you get 1,000 mile bonus for booking on delta.com and they let you choose your seats from the seat map. Some of the other travel agent sites out there won't let you do that and you'll have to call Delta afterwards. Good luck!
