Two tickets, same flight, possible?

I have a club europe oneway ticket.

I now want to return in economy and when looking to buy the ticket it might actually be cheaper to buy a return economy ticket. However to avoid not losing the ticket I will obviously need to take the outbound flight.

Can I book and check-in two tickets and then scan them both or hand over both boarding passes?

Stupid question I know but just wondering how it works when they make large people buy two seats etc.. If I can do I get both sets of miles!

Clearly I want the club seat, miles and tier points in reality!
