Urgent EDI lounge access question
Anyone with EDI experience.
I'm sitting in the EDI terraces. Just got here on a shuttle (UK Business Class) from London, going back on the 17:20. I'm BA Gold.
On arrival, I had the nice lady at the front check my Gold status and she confirmed it was renewed until 2007. I also had her print my boarding pass for the return this afternoon.
I couldn't hear her very well, but think she told me she couldn't give me access because I was on an inbound flight, and that they had been told access should be for outbound flights only. I wasn't sure I heard her correclty so I thanked her and went into the lounge anyway. However she and her colleague have been eyeing me (I've been on the phone for half an hour).
Can someone with experience in EDI confirm to me in case I have to take them on? My meeting isn't until 2 and I have a lot of work to do. Really, really don't want to have to hunt out a Starbucks.
- I have an outbound UK Business sector this evening
- I'm Gold, which I though meant I get lounge access anywhere anytime, flight or no flight (and before you ask, the lounge is pretty quiet)
If they take it up with me, should I push back or slink off in shame?
