it was an off the cuff remark, yes. i was trying to relate an experience in regards to the original post on this thread. perhaps i could have been more tactful. that still does not negate my unfortunate experience or my opinions of this carrier. surely i am not alone in my feelings about this airline both on the ground and in the air. if you like malaysian, please go ahead and fly it to your heart's content. enjoy it. i just did not. nor will i in the future. paid long haul first class tickets are very expensive from the states and in my case, the money could have been spent much better with a good carrier such as cathay, singapore, ana, japan airlines. i misspoke by saying it was the worst carrier in asia. certainly there are worse. but then again doesn't one know to stay away from the worst of the bunch by both experience and reputation?
