I printed a date copy of my DM statement with *G status last year when I hadn't yet received an updated card (had just qualified up from Silver). Showed that to the LH SEN agent in FRA and she accepted it no questions asked with my EDI bound boarding pass. HAnother idea is to keep your BP which says *G status on it from that day's transatlantic flight or whatever.
