On the ground ....

I love Amtrak hands down when I'm not in the air. I have taken Amtrak on overnight trips in coach and the seat is like business class/first class in the air. The seat reclines further than airline coach seats. I have my legrest that comes up a foot rest in the back of each seat with lots of legroom and a tray table in front of me. When the person behind me reclines I'm not in his/her space. The bulkhead rows have lots of room without the tray table.

I get my winks with no problem. They are two by two as opposed to three three. And I'm not in anyone's space(:. There is a lower-level car with only 12 seats and I go for this one as the compartment has a door that closes and I can see the scenery too.
And when I need to relax I head to the sightseer lounge for a movie and a drink. For dinner I head to the diner and spend $12 for a meal. Even with the cutbacks on Amtrak it's still a good ride.
