Don't forget the NA option

Have you considered using a NA flight pass? Hard to beat for value... purchase a Western flight pass, and you can get 30k status miles in anywhere from 5 to 8 credits, depending on how you elect to use them, all in J.

For example... 1) YVR -> YYZ -> DFW = 3270 + 1635 COS = 4900 Q Miles
2) DFW -> YYZ -> YVR -> YXY = 4190 + 2095 COS = 6285 Q Miles

... after just two flight credits, you will garner more than 11k Q miles and still have 8 credits available to use over the next year! One advantage of this approach is you can do a little NA "sightseeing" now (say by returning to DFW from YXY, then back home to YVR, for a grand total of 4 credits and 22370 Q miles), but still hold off on doing the full 30k run until a little closer to the end of the year (that way you won't burn flight credits needlessly if your business travel increases). The other advantage is that for slightly over $3k you can hit your goal AND have extra flight credits in the bank to cover other travel needs.

This assumes of course that you are able to upgrade all flights, but I generally bat 100%.

Food for thought.
