Maybe so but I live in Vancouver so my point of origin is YVR. The best combo I've been able to come with is two separate trips consisting of:
YVR-SYD-AKL-SYD-YVR and another YVR-YYZ-LHR-YYZ-YVR for a total of about $2,900 and chocking up almost 30K Q miles. I have a feeling that would be hard to beat in terms of cost/Qmile. This wouldn't be a MR simply for the sake of a MR since I have friends in NZ and my wife and I would do a theatre jig in London making the cost/benefit argument a little easier to hack.
