That should work out fine. When I flew in there the first time, they had a 24 hour ticket that would cover transit to both sunrise and sunset at the rock, as well as a sidetrip out to the Olgas. It looks like that is still around.

There were also some smaller touring companies out there. You can probably just hit the tourist office when you arrive and decide what works best for you.
