Just want to give you an update. I flew out this morning for LGA. Due to losing my keys I got to SYR at 5:50 AM with a 6:17 AM depature. I thought I could make it. Security was easy - only two people in front of me and I have online checked in so I had my boarding pass. I placed my three bags - Computer bag, 22 inch roll on, and non-wheeled garment bag on the conveyor. No problems with the bags - TSA did not even blink. I pass the metal detector thinking I'm home free and the dreaded words "Please step to the right for additional screening. Are you in a hurry?" Ahhh. It is best not to get smart or make any comments because they will really make you pay for it. Well got my TSA massage and ran down to the gate - the time read 6:08 AM and the door was shut. Have you ever heard of a UX flight leaving on time?!!!? Or closing the door on time? Anyway, I called UGS and I was calling the Gate Agent came out through the gate doors and smiled and said "Mr. Woo - Sorry could not hold it any longer." Can I have your ticket? I gave her my online boarding pass and she said "We have you booked on the 9:30 to LGA with US. I requested for you on standby for the 7:05. You have to go down to US and exchange this ticket." She handed me the ticket and I made my way down to US. I got to the counter and the counter agent had it all set up and by the time she gave the ticket it was 6:35 for the 9:30 AM non stop and told me to run to the gate for the 7:05 and see if I can go standby. As I start walking she says "Oh by the way you will have to go through secondary screening" Ahhhhh. I get to security and again I go through with all three bags and TSA says nothing. I get the massage again and by this time it is 6:49 and I'm running with all three bags to the gate. I get there just as the GA makes the last announcement. Lets me board and gives me two tags for the roll on and the garment bag and says thanks for flying US.

I wil try it again on my return. By the way just want to make sure that all of you know that the roll on and garment bag were placed ont he trolley and not brought on board.
