You will be allowed to check in... as long as it is domestic... and you will go through several searches.
Also, make sure you have cash for your trip in case some places do not take your credit card... especially if your card requests they check for ID.
Make sure you get to the airport extremely early to allow for the extra time it will take... it will take time... and you really are at their mercy.

I would have time to go to the DMV but unfortunately, that won't work. The DMV takes up to 5 weeks to mail it out and all they give you is a temporary piece of paper with NO PICTURE!!!
I find it ridiculous that I may not even be able to go on my trip?!?!?! I have a SSN card, like 17 other cards with my name, a Costco ID with a pic, and medical and car insurance.
Can I hear from anyone who this did happen to? Thanks. Also, what happens if I was already on my trip and lost it? They don't let you go home?
